از این حرکت‌های آرتیستیک که بگذریم در عالم حرفه ای نقاشی، ابداع و نوآوری در شکل و نو و اثر قلم همواره وجود داشته و اصلا خیلی از انقلاب‌ها یا لااقل نقاط عطف در سیر نقاشی، ناشی از همین ابداعات در ابزار بوده. و حتی اصالت (originality) برخی نقاشان شهیر تاریخ به همین ابزارهای دست ساز نوآورانه‌شون بوده .
